My new toy :o)

Today I made my very first French Bread using my newest toy,

A KitchenAid Professional 5 series - Multi-purpose mixer :o)

I can't say anyting bad about it, it has all the attachments, tools and recipe book to help you get going with your culinary/pastry making project! Compared to my old Krups which can only make batter's and mix ingredients, this guy can even knead dough, slice vegetables & grind meat - very versatile!

Love the color as well-sort of eclectic for a country home, I guess it really does say something about the owner...ha ha

Anyway, I wish I could share this yummy loaf of bread with you'all - seriously this is one yummy French Bread - Fresh out of the oven...hmmmmmn!

Bon Appetit!

DEFROSTED & HUNGRY... not that bad

Finally I'm defrosted!...I tried to freeze myself to stop the aging process but apparently It Doesn't work...I'm thawed and now very cold...lol,

That explains the picture - after seventeen days, I'm very hungry...ha ha, kidding aside...

...It's been seventeen days since I celebrated my 30th, I had a good time to say the least.

Having said that, I guess I have come into terms that being thirty is not as bad as thought It would be, not that I thought it's the end of the world, but as some of you may know, there comes a point in your life where you question everything and WORRY too much about what lies ahead, talk about expect the unexpected flushed in the toilet...lol...

...anyway

We were jabbering away on the phone the other day (My good friend Ruby & I) and the topic of aging and maturity was somehow brought to the table...

...I suppose (for some) maturity really comes with age...REALLY?!...lol, It fascinates me how much I've changed (OK, maybe not so much) specifically about the superficiality that is somehow like an enigma attached to the teen years & early twenties (Is it a racial or ethnicity thing or just upbringing? - I have my opinion BUT I'll let you decide and think about it yourself)...

... For example, when we were in our teens (I am seriously not kidding) especially in High School, most of us could care less about corrupt politicians or global warming, we have our opinions but we don't get too involved, most of the time we worry about the superficial stuff such as signature or designer things - For example; Chanel, Calvin Klein, Giordano, Swatch, Mendrez, Bench, Boy London, United Colours of Benetton, Aspen, Polo Ralph Lauren, YSL & etc. - there may even be a question about your clothes, "where it's made or whether it's an original" ...It's ridiculous but it did happen!

HOWEVER, those were the days when you can't really blame "us", "YUPPiNESS" was a big part of our society *hint*, It is like your pass to belong in that certain age group as well as to have a sense of belongingness and not feel excluded...

...Anyway

These days, I'm your typical blue jeans & t-shirt kind-o-guy, I shop at Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, K-Mart and sometimes even in our local goodwill - yes I do. I guess for me, it became more about my comfort level , If I'm comfortable with what I'm wearing whether it's from a designer shop or a thrift store - I'll wear it, don't get me wrong, I still do my occasional "designer splurge" however I can honestly say now that those designer brands "doesn't really matter"(or maybe a little) BUT It is more about me being comfortable of what I'm wearing and being comfortable about myself.

Anyway, I guess maturity really comes with age!(again, for some...lol), Now, All I have to do is stay healthy and most of all...

...become rich and famous...ha ha!
